Collection: Converse Skate Shoes
Converse have been reappropriated by skateboarders for decades. We have all skated in Chuck Taylor’s and the design of this basketball shoe which is nearly 100 years old still works so well for skateboarding. This shoe remains at the heart of the Converse Cons skate program alongside the One Star which came out in the 70s and became synonymous with skateboarding in the 90s. Converse Cons was announced in 2009 and they assembled a serious team.
The squad consists of team riders like Kenny Anderson, Zered Bassett, Eli Reed, Sammy Baca, Mike Anderson, Jake Johnson, Tom Remillard, Aaron Herrington, Don Nguyen, Sage Elsesser, Sean Pablo, Alexis Sablone and Louie Lopez who has his own shoe. We are stoked to have worked closely with them over the years. We collaborated with Converse back in 2012 on our own shoe. We also welcomed the team to our shop and interviewed Sage Elsesser while out in New York for the launch of his signature One Star.
